The Art of Persuasion

The power to write is such a magical tool. Throughout the ages, people of all different backgrounds and cultures have used persuasive writing to change beliefs or to encourage others to think, act or feel the way the writer intends. Although the quality of writing is sometimes not desirable, persuasive writing is fun and especially effective in today's society.



Consider this...The principal at your school has instituted random locker and backpack searches to check for weapons or drugs. Anyone caught with these will be immediately suspended. The principal argues that the random searches will not only guard against illegal items at school but will also help students feel safer.
